How to reach Woudrichem:
 

From Schiphol:

     
By car (about an hour):

From Schiphol follow first  “Ceintuurbaan Zuid”, then “Ceintuurbaan Noord”. Right after take the A4 and then the A9 to Utrecht. After about 38 km take the A27 to Gorinchem / Breda. After 25 km take the exit 23: Werkendam / Sleeuwijk. Then follow the signs Sleeuwijk > Woudrichem > Woudrichem Vesting (fortress).

By train / bus (between 2 and 2 ½ hours):
Take at Schiphol Airport the intercity train 3155 to Utrecht Centraal . After half an hour (4 stops) you‘ll arrive in Utrecht Centraal. At the train station follow the signs to the bus station (one level under ). Take then there the bus 400 to Oosterhout. There will be a bus every 15 minutes. After 45 minutes (3 stops )  leave the bus at Sleeuwijk - Tol West and take there a bus - 221 to Almkerk. After about 15  minutes ( 8 stops) you’ll arrive at Woudrichem - Burg. van de Lelystraat. From there it is just 5 minutes walk to the Vesting.

From Eindhoven Airport:

By car (about 50 minutes):
At Eindhoven Airport take the “luchthavenweg” and then the “flight forum” to arrive to the A2 direction ‘s Hertogenbosch. After 15 minutes (21 km) take exit 23 - Tilburg. On the A59 take exit 59 - Heusden. From there go on the N267 and take the “Parallelweg”and the “Veldweg” till Woudrichem. Then follow the signs to “Woudrichem Vesting” (fortress).

By train / bus (about 2 ½ hours):
Take at the airport the bus nr. 400 to Eindhoven Central Station (25 min  / 3 stops) . From there take the direct intercity train to Utrecht Central station (Utrecht Centraal). At the train station follow the signs to the bus station (one level under ). Take then there the bus 400 to Oosterhout. There will be a bus every 15 minutes. After 45 minutes (3 stops )  leave the bus at Sleeuwijk - Tol West and take there a bus - 221 to Almkerk. After about 15  minutes ( 8 stops) you’ll arrive at Woudrichem - Burg. van de Lelystraat.
